Bloomsbury Family Home
This was Nicola’s London home, and where her two daughters were born. Having housed multiple families over the past 200 years, the grade 2* listed house was once again given a new direction. Retaining many original features, the kitchen was moved from the first floor to the ground and redesigned together with Plain English. This left the two sitting rooms to preside over the first floor, floating above the Greek Revival caryatids of St Pancras church. Bespoke bookcases were painted in a deep terracotta to match the brick of the dance school opposite, where evening practices could often be glimpsed. The tall, thin house was knitted together with a ribbon-like stair runner, and warm Georgian-inspired colours throughout.
