Chelsea Townhouse

This Victorian townhouse was one of our first interior design projects and marked the start of the Nicola Mardas Interiors journey. The clients, a young family who had recently moved from a modern bayside home on the US East Coast, wanted to recreate the light, airy atmosphere of their previous home in their new London property.

To achieve this, we carefully selected soft, muted fabrics and textures, creating a calm and welcoming environment. We also incorporated the client’s cherished antique botanical prints and textiles, bringing warmth and personality into the space. Bespoke joinery was designed and crafted to create a cosy library/reading room, as well as display their growing collection of photography. Although now based in Oxford, our interior design studio got our start crafting unique, deeply personal spaces that instantly feel like home.
