NOTTING HILL MEWS

Tucked away in the heart of Notting Hill, this unique mews house tells a story of reinvention. Acquired by a London actor, the property began as two unremarkable 1970s properties that now read as a single, villa-like home arranged around a courtyard garden.

The transformation was undertaken first with Charlie Luxton Design, an architecture studio celebrated for their sustainability-led work. A generous entrance hall with its sculptural, curved staircase forms the spine of the house and knits together the two original structures into one cohesive whole. A playful language of circular motifs is repeated throughout the interior architecture.

We infused the interiors with fresh energy, warmth and a sense of theatricality. At the core of the redesign is the clients extensive art collection, which we integrated into each space to create a deeply personal, resonant home.
